Ant and Dec’s Record Win, Kate Garraway’s Heartfelt Documentary, and Line of Duty’s Double Triumph Highlight the Night

The glitz and glamour of British television were on full display at the National Television Awards (NTAs) on Thursday night, held at the iconic O2 Arena in London. The show won Best Returning Drama, acknowledging its ability to keep viewers at the edge of their seats season after season. Additionally, it was bestowed with the Special Recognition Award, recognizing its profound impact on British culture.

The acting prowess of David Tennant and Olivia Colman was duly acknowledged at the NTAs. Tennant secured the Best Drama Performance award for his chilling portrayal in “Des,” while Colman received the Best Serial Drama Performance award for her regal role in “The Crown.”

Martin Compston, known for his role in “Line of Duty,” made a unique fashion statement by wearing a kilt on the red carpet. The gesture was both a nod to his Scottish heritage and a tribute to his character in the acclaimed series.

Television’s beloved duo, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, arrived in matching outfits to celebrate their win for “This Morning” as the Best Daytime Show. Their infectious chemistry and informative segments have made the show a staple in daytime television.
