In an awe-inspiring display of compassion and dedication, South African conservationist Valentin Gruener has formed an extraordinary bond with an abandoned lion cub named Sigra. They established a 2,000-hectare reserve—an area six times the size of New York City’s Central Park—where Sigra could roam among other wildlife in a controlled, safe environment. This vast expanse of land has become Sigra’s permanent home, offering her the space to live as close to her natural instincts as possible.
