In a shocking and tragic incident that has left the community reeling, an 11-year-old girl and a 34-year-old woman were stabbed in Leicester Square, one of London’s busiest and most iconic tourist areas. The stabbing took place near the Lego store in Leicester Square, a popular spot frequented by both locals and tourists. Eyewitnesses reported hearing screams before witnessing a man armed with a knife attacking the victims. Abdullah, a 29-year-old security guard at the nearby TWG Tea Shop, intervened heroically. He described how he “jumped on the attacker” and, with the assistance of other bystanders, managed to disarm him and restrain him until the police arrived.
The Metropolitan Police were on the scene within minutes of the attack. They quickly arrested a 32-year-old man, who is currently in custody.
